IMPORTANT FOOTWEAR INFORMATION

1. Ensure you have the correct fit. Most shoes have a unique online size chart to best assist you with the correct fit. However, you are the final judge on the fit and the comfort of the shoe. You should be happy with the fit when leaving the store. Keep in mind that while we do provide a FREE exchange service if you happen to purchase the wrong size you will be liable for P&H costs.

2. Shoes must be worn for correct use and purpose. (eg. Some shoes are designed for walking and running not soccer or football.)

3. The best way to avoid the problem of ‘thinking’ a shoe is tight, rubbing, causing pressure or uncomfortable is not to wear that shoe all day for the first time. You are strongly advised to wear them in slowly to allow them to mould and soften to your feet. This is best done at home so you can remove them if necessary. In most cases it is recommended that you wear them for 1 hour the first day, 2 hours the next, 3 hours the next and so on.

4. Keep toe nails relatively short to prevent cutting toe box thread or wearing a hole in the toe area of the shoe. Also to prevent ingrown toe nails.

5. Laces must be undone when pulling shoes off, and laced firmly when placing them on. Do not step on the back of the shoe with the other foot to remove the shoe. There are special ways of lacing shoes that can improve their fit and function (see chart below)

6. Do not machine wash shoes as this can cause the adhesive to weaken. Should your shoes become wet, allow drying naturally and not in front of a heat source as this can cause leather to crack and harden.

7. It is advisable to treat leather/suede with a Silicone Waterproofing spray to help repel water and prevent staining and to polish regularly with appropriate leather treatments.

8. Most manufacturing faults will surface within the first month of purchase. All of our shoe manufacturers have the right to evaluate all RETURNS to determine if there is a manufacturing fault. This will require the shoes to be left with us and sent to the manufacturer for advice.

9. A simple repair, within warranty period, such as rubber unglued, stitching coming undone, can be repaired locally to avoid waiting to be sent back to manufacturer. Normal wear and tear must be allowed for.

10. The warranty period for our manufacturing suppliers is a maximum of 6 months from date of purchase, depending on the supplier. Shoes returned after this period will not be under Warranty.

11. Be mindful that shoes should be replaced regularly and just because a shoe is expensive or recommended by a Podiatrist does not mean it will last forever. The most important aspect to consider is that your footwear has proven to be comfortable.

12. In the case where a shoe is worn all day 5-7 days a week it is highly recommended they be replaced every 6 to 12 months for hygiene and support reasons. For the same reasons and to ensure the longevity and function of your shoes it is also recommended that you alternate daily between 2 pairs of shoes allowing one to aerate and dry while you wear the other pair.
