Dr. Ferrie is The Foot and Ankle Clinic’s Musculoskeletal Podiatrist. He has done extensive research and training to provide him with the necessary skills for providing unique therapies to treat Musculoskeletal injuries of the lower limb, as well as the expertise and knowledge to diagnose such injuries.
James graduated from La Trobe University having completed a 4 year Bachelor of Podiatry course. During this time, James developed a strong interest in musculoskeletal medicine and surgery. Dr. Ferrie has undertaken post-graduate training in blood collection, Platelet-rich plasma, Orthokine, Prolotherapy, Dry needling, Laser therapy and surgery, ECSWT, clinical diagnostic ultrasound and guided injection. He has also trained at the world leading Interventional Orthopedics Foundation in Colorado USA.
He is one of only two Podiatrists in Australia who specialises in using a unique approach to injury rehabilitation and management, through merging the correction of biomechanical dysfunction and minimally invasive ultrasound guided tissue regenerative procedures. Dr. Ferrie offers a range of three specific and safe treatment options that don’t involve any synthetic or harmful chemicals: Prolotherapy, Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) and Orthokine therapy.
James is also a teacher of diagnostic ultrasound.
